What makes Patina different from other antique shops?

The quality and aesthetic of our pieces set us apart from any other shop in Northern Vermont. Patina offers an artfully curated and constantly changing collection of refined country American, Canadian, and European antiques. Painted furniture is a specialty. All of our reproductions are high quality pieces, many locally hand-crafted, that are at home alongside any of our antiques.

I have an antique that I’d like to sell. Can you help me?

For inquiries about antiques to sell, please contact us via e-mail at [email protected] with photos of your piece. Provide as much information as possible, including provenance, condition, past repairs, dimensions and value. Items will be evaluated based on how well they fit in with the style and current needs of the shop. We will not consider furnishings or accessories brought into the store without an appointment.

Do you deliver?

We are happy to arrange local deliveries of items purchased at Patina for a charge of $40 per man-hour + mileage.

Do you ship?

Patina is happy to arrange shipping and will provide a quote for handling and freight using the carrier deemed the best fit given the distance and size of the item. Third-party shippers are liable for any damages incurred during shipment. If you are in proximity to the Champlain Valley, courier services may be available. Customers are also welcome to arrange their own shipping.

Do you sell jewelry or silverware?

While Patina does carry a collection of “smalls,” we are not carrying vintage antique jewelry or silverware at this time.

Do you sell only antiques?

Patina offers a wide range of products, including antique, vintage, and reproduction furnishings and accessories. Hand-crafted reproductions can be custom ordered. Please, see our Inventory section for more information.

How do I make an appointment?

To make an appointment, contact us with your name, best way to reach you, appointment time desired, and how we may be of assistance.

May I take items out on approval?

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase and are pleased to offer sales on approval, so you may try items on-site. Our Policies page outlines the process for taking items on approval.

What is your relationship with Nantucket House?

In 2012, Patina and Michelle Holland Interiors, Inc. will unite with Nantucket House Antiques and Interior Design in Nantucket, Massachusetts. Founded by the parents of Patina proprietor, Tucker Holland in 1973, Nantucket House has earned a reputation for providing both superior antiques and interior design. Our combined talents and inventory will represent one of the East Coast’s most beautiful collections. We are pleased to be able to usher this venerable establishment into a second generation.
