History

Since its construction in the 1850’s to house Shelburne’s Tracy store, Patina’s iconic building has served as a place to gather, nourish and trade. Today’s stewards of this landmark, Michelle and Tucker Holland, proprietors of Patina and Kevin Clayton of  Village Wine and Coffee, invite you to get a glimpse of history and a look at the work of talented local artisans.

Patina Antiques and Home Furnishings represents a range of high quality furniture makers, including Allen Simon, who opened the doors of Patina in 1987. Allen became known for his unique brand of brightly painted furniture and continues to supply our customers with his durable custom pieces. Since taking the reins of Patina in 2010, Michelle and Tucker have added folk and fine art, country antiques from North America and Europe, and one-of-a-kind works by Vermont and Adirondack builders.

In 2012, the business expanded to encompass Nantucket House Antiques and Interior Design in Nantucket, Massachusetts. Founded by Tucker’s parents, Sandi and Huddy Holland in 1973, Nantucket House has earned a reputation for providing both superior antiques and friendly, knowledgeable service. We are pleased to be able to usher this venerable establishment into a second generation.
